For site specific delivery, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) modified with ligands are widely used. SUNBRIGHT GS-034TS is a functionalized PEG lipid designed for efficient ligand conjugation in LNP drug delivery systems. It features two C18:0 fatty acids (18 carbon atoms, no double bonds, stearic acid) connected at the 1- and 2-positions of a glycerol backbone, with a 3,400 Da polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain linked at the 3-position and terminated with an NHS carbonate group. The NHS carbonate group allows conjugation with amine-containing molecules to form a stable carbamate bond. GS-034TS does not have a charge that could adversely affect the stability of LNPs and is useful for developing active targeting delivery systems.
