COATSOME MS-6081LS (POPS-Na), or 1-Palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine, sodium salt, is a ≥85% pure synthetic phospholipid. Featuring a C16:0 fatty acid (16 carbon atoms, no double bonds, palmitic acid) at the sn-1 position and a C18:1 fatty acid (18 carbon atoms, 1 double bond, oleic acid) at the sn-2 position, POPS-Na provides a negatively charged phosphoserine headgroup, contributing to enhanced membrane flexibility and promoting electrostatic stabilization within lipid-based formulations.
