COATSOME ME-6060 (DPPE), or 1,2-Dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine, is a ≥99% pure synthetic phospholipid. Featuring C16:0 fatty acids (16 carbon atoms, no double bonds, palmitic acid) at both the sn-1 and sn-2 positions, DPPE provides a small phosphoethanolamine headgroup, promoting membrane curvature and facilitating membrane fusion in lipid-based formulations.
DPPE is suitable for liposomal and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations, and supports the development of advanced drug delivery systems requiring enhanced membrane fusion or endosomal escape.
