COATSOME MC-6080 (PSPC), or 1-Stearoyl-2-palmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, is a ≥99% pure synthetic phospholipid. Composed of a C18:0 fatty acid (18 carbon atoms, no double bonds, stearic acid) at the sn-1 position and a C16:0 fatty acid (16 carbon atoms, no double bonds, palmitic acid) at the sn-2 position, PSPC provides high membrane rigidity and stability, making it suitable for formulations requiring enhanced structural integrity.
With a phase transition temperature (Tc) of approximately 49°C, PSPC maintains a gel phase across physiological temperatures, supporting the development of robust and stable drug delivery systems. Manufactured using highly purified fatty acids, MC-6080 offers consistent quality for pharmaceutical research and clinical applications.
