COATSOME MC-4080 (MSPC), or 1-Myristoyl-2-stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, is a ≥99% pure synthetic phospholipid. Featuring a C14:0 fatty acid (14 carbon atoms, no double bonds, myristic acid) at the sn-1 position and a C18:0 fatty acid (18 carbon atoms, no double bonds, stearic acid) at the sn-2 position, this asymmetric diacyl phospholipid offers a balanced profile between membrane fluidity and stability, making it suitable for liposomal and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations.
