SUNBRIGHT® ME-400GS is a methoxy PEG NHS ester with a 40,000 Da PEG chain. The NHS group is linked to the PEG chain via a glutaric acid linker, and it readily reacts with amine-containing molecules to form a stable amide bond. After PEGylation, the GS type is relatively susceptible to hydrolysis because it contains an ester linkage, enabling the control of hydrolysis rate depending on the target applications.
