Electronic & Ceramic Materials Collection: ESLEAM® AD Series
Collection description
ESLEAM® AD Series is a family of basic-type comb-polymer dispersants developed for electronic materials, ceramic materials, and advanced inorganic powder systems.
The series combines particle-affinitive units and solvent-affinitive units within a comb-polymer architecture, enabling excellent dispersion performance, reduced slurry viscosity, and improved stability in fine-particle systems.
About Comb-Polymer Dispersants
ESLEAM® AD Series dispersants are designed to adsorb onto particle surfaces while extending graft chains into the surrounding medium. This structure generates steric stabilization and helps prevent particle agglomeration.
By optimizing graft-chain architecture and the balance between hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties, individual grades can be tailored to different powder systems and solvent environments.

How to Select an ESLEAM® AD Series Grade
ESLEAM® AD Series grades are differentiated by two key structural parameters: graft-chain length and the balance between hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties.
These differences influence solvent compatibility, particle affinity, viscosity reduction behavior, and dispersion stability. The chart below illustrates the relative positioning of each grade within the ESLEAM® AD Series portfolio.

ESLEAM® AD Series Grade Positioning
| Grade | Relative Graft Chain Length | Hydrophilic / Hydrophobic Balance | Positioning |
|---|---|---|---|
|
AD-370 (Under development) |
Short | More Hydrophilic | Hydrophilic-side grade |
| AD-3172M | Medium | Moderately Hydrophilic | Balanced dispersion performance |
| AD-374M | Medium | Balanced | General-purpose grade |
| AD-508E | Medium | More Hydrophobic | Hydrophobic-side grade |
| AD-3284M | Long | Balanced | Long-chain architecture |
|
AD-3285E (Under development) |
Long | More Hydrophobic | Long-chain hydrophobic grade |
Why ESLEAM® AD Series?
The ESLEAM® AD Series provides formulators with a flexible platform for optimizing particle dispersion performance through precise control of comb-polymer architecture.
By selecting the appropriate balance of graft-chain length and hydrophilic/hydrophobic character, formulators can tailor dispersion behavior to specific powder systems, solvent environments, and processing requirements.
